Can a Gambler be too Successful?
Dana White, the UFC founder and president, has to find a new establishment to place his bets after a restriction from the Palms Resort and Casino. The casino, taking notice of White's three month win streak totaling an estimated $2 million, limited the amount of money White could place on each hand from $25,000 to $5,000. It seems a bit odd that a casino would refuse such a lucrative bet, despite the odds being stacked against the player. This is the second time in two years that the casino has tossed White out. This has led to the resort no longer hosting UFC events, and the resentment of the employees who loved white for his overly generous tips. Some sources say that White was tipping up to $200,000 to his dealers, and $10,000 on a $10,000 bill at the hotel's steak house N9ne. White has said that the Mandalay Bay casino has reached out to him about bringing his business there, but when asked about the Palms casino he had this to say, "Casinos don't want to gamble anymore. They're all owned by hedge funds and corporations. They want to stack the odds so much against you that you won't play. Realistically, there's only one place to play left in town. That's Caesars. They will let you play what you want to play. No messing around with limits." Has old high rolling, big risk taking Vegas, faded away into a regulatory business with wager limits and restrictions.

Chip Kelly is a Football Wizard and I Will Never Understand
Last night, at the NFL draft, the eagles traded away their 22nd pick away. The browns, wanting to pick Johnny Manziel, traded the eagles for their pick at number 26. With the 26th pick in the draft the eagles picked Marcus Smith, defensive end, out of Louisville. This is a puzzling pick because he doesn't if the typical profile of a chip Kelly lineman. We will have to see how he fits in and what productivity he can help put out in he upcoming season. In chip we trust, go birds!

The Future of Norton Football
Coming off the best season, and the first playoff appearance in the last 5 years, the Lancers Football team is looking for another strong year. The Lancers will take heavy losses due to its seniors graduating, among the loses are All-Stars Mike Ready, Mike Travers, and Tony Giglio. Although they have lost some very great players they are still looking for a run deep into the playoffs this year. Their offensive line is returning 4 of 5, including George Reese and Rob Smith who are currently juniors. They're going to need a big performance out of their backfield in order to have a successful season, calling on Justin Ireland and Tyler Williams to have big years. Hopefully then can reload ions read of having I rebuild the year after.

DeSean to Stay!
After a media storm swirling around trade rumors, DeSean Jackson will stay in Philly. The Eagles explored trade rumors and found nothing they were interested in. With the draft being the deepest at the wide receiver position in the last 30 years, teams don't want to give up their early draft picks for a diva wide receiver who isn't concerned with team achievements.. But with DeSean in Philly the Eagles look to put on an impressive season this year. They have arguably the best receiving core/offensive backfield in the NFC. If Nick Foles can pick up where he left off last year, the Eagles are geared up to make a run deep into the playoffs.
Dirty Rice
Recently, a story broke that Ravens running back Ray Rice was charged with assault for an incident involving his significant other at an Atlantic City casino. It is reported that during a verbal altercation in an elevator, Rice allegedly struck his wife in the face and knocked her out. Now a new story is out that says the charges have escalated and Rice is now being charged with Aggravated Assault. If rice is charged with Aggravated Assault, he will face 3-5 years in prison.
This is one of the many incidents reported of professional athletes abusing their significant other. Other athletes such as Chad Ochocinco, Raymond Felton, and Adam Jones have reportedly assaulted their wives or girlfriends. Why is it that these men who have everything find it necessary to hit the women they love? Is it because they're given god like status by everyone and as soon as someone doesn't worship them they snap? Is it because they get what they want in every aspect of life and can't handle rejection? Or is it just their character, do they believe that abusing women is morally right? Whatever the case is for Ray Rice, the Ravens might want to draft a running back in this years draft.

The NFL- The No Fun League?
Jimmy Graham, among other NFL players, is going to have to hold back his excitement when scoring a touchdown. Instead of "dunking" the football over the goal post, he'll have to think of a new celebration. The NFL has ban this celebration and caught lots of criticism from around the league and from its fans.
The players believe that this is the next step in the NFL making the players more like robots, and making it the "No Fun League". This penalty will come with a 15 yard personal foul, ensuing on the next kickoff. This rule is justified using the excuse that players bend the goal post, leading to maintenance work being required. The NFL is step by step getting closer to being the opposite of what it needs to be, intertaining.

Bye Bye Desean?
It has been rumored around the NFL that Chip Kelly wants to ship DeSean Jackson out for draft picks in order to bring the age of the team down. Potential moves they could make would be to ship him off to the 49ers, for a third round pick and Alden Smith. That would give the Eagles the 29th pick and a promising young defensive player. Another possibility would be sending him off to the Patriots for a third round pick. This would give the Eagles the 30th pick and no players. Overall, the best move at this point is to keep DeSean, who is already on a hall of fame pace, and let him do what he's always done; score touchdowns.
